CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Introdukction

The purpose of this code of conduct is to ensure that A/S Oilpower Hydraulics and our partners, suppliers and stakeholders operate in accordance with internationally recognized minimum standards for human rights, labor rights and the environment.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics adheres to the principles of this Code and expects the same of our partners, suppliers and stakeholders.

The goal of the rules is not to stop operating, but to help collaborators, suppliers and stakeholders improve social and environmental standards.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics is therefore willing to work with our partners, suppliers and stakeholders to comply with the provisions of this set of rules. But we will not do business with a company if it is deemed impossible to achieve compliance with the rules. Nor do we want to do business with a company that violates fundamental human rights.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics adopts “The UN Global Compact’s ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption“, where this initiative is relevant to the content of the ethical rules. The Global Compact and its principles will be part of our strategy, culture and day-to-day operations, and we will try to make a clear statement of our commitment – both towards employees, partners, suppliers and stakeholders as well as the public. Compliance with this Code of Conduct will be part of any agreement or contract between A/S Oilpower Hydraulics, our affiliates, suppliers and stakeholders, and will and may be enforced.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics will regularly review the ethical rules to see if they are sufficient and continue to be effective.

General requirements

All A/S Oilpower Hydraulics partners, suppliers and stakeholders are expected to comply with national laws and regulations, as well as our “Code of Conduct” described below.

All suppliers are expected to know the business practices of their suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that they work within these ethical frameworks that apply to our business.

Human rights

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics supports and respects the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and our suppliers are also expected to support and respect these rights and ensure that they do not contribute to human rights violations; both directly and indirectly.

 

Working environment management

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics focuses heavily on the working environment, where we constantly strive for a targeted and systematic optimization of this.

 

General health and safety

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics helps promote employee health by combining efforts to improve the working environment with initiatives aimed at healthier living and better well-being. We work with health promotion in a way that is determined by A/S Oilpower Hydraulics and the employees’ wishes and opportunities. On this basis, A/S Oilpower Hydraulics provides health-promoting initiatives.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics undertakes to take care of the employees’ safety and health and work in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In cooperation with public authorities and other relevant partners, A/S Oilpower Hydraulics will continuously strive to comply with the requirements of the surrounding society for us as an enterprise.

Our suppliers are expected to provide a safe working environment to prevent accidents and minimize exposure to health risks. Suppliers are expected to comply with all applicable laws and regulations for safety and health in the countries they have departments in or collaborate with other customers.

 

Educating employees

Employees in A/S Oilpower Hydraulics are trained in general health and safety. This means, among other things, that all employees in A/S Oilpower Hydraulics, regardless of the type or duration of the employment relationship, receive the necessary and appropriate training and instruction in the safe execution of the work. Employees receive information about the risks of accidents and illnesses that may be associated with their work.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics pays the cost of training and instruction in the safe execution of the work. This training and instruction will take place if possible during normal working hours, but always before starting work.

 

Psychological working environment

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics ensures that:

  1. The work in A/S Oilpower Hydraulics poses a minimal risk of deterioration of physical and mental health.
  2. An assessment has been made of the physical, ergonomic and psychosocial conditions in the working environment that may affect physical or mental health in the short or long term. The assessment has been made for all elements of the work and helps ensure that safety and health are taken into account in the performance of the work.
  3. Monotonous, repeated work that may be harmful to physical or mental health in the short or long term, avoided or restricted.
  4. The workplace does not pose a risk of impairment of physical or mental health in the short or long term.
  5. Isolated work that may pose a health hazard, physical or mental, is avoided or limited.
  6. The work does not pose a risk of physical or mental health deterioration as a result of bullying including sexual harassment.

 

Working conditions incl. accidents

All stages of production are planned and organized taking into account health and safety. The work in A/S Oilpower Hydraulics is taking into account the following principles for prevention:

  1. Risks are eliminated at source.
  2. As far as possible, the work must be adapted to the individual employee in relation to, inter alia, layout of the workplace and choice of work equipment and production methods.
  3. Monotonous and repeated work is limited to minimize the effects of work on health.
  4. Installations and working methods that could pose a significant risk to employees at work are not used.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics regularly prepares written assessments of health and safety at the workplace. All aspects of the working environment are covered by the workplace assessment, and the company’s employees are involved in the process, both directly and indirectly.

 

Fire safety

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics has taken the necessary precautions and prepared the necessary plans regarding fire and evacuation of the employees.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics provides training for those responsible for implementing measures and plans, as well as changes to these.

  1. A / S Oilpower Hydraulics employees are informed of the content of these precautions and plans
  2. There is a sufficient number of escape routes and emergency exits at the workplace
  3. Emergency doors and doors can be opened easily and safely and there is free passage through them
  4. There is free passage through escape routes
  5. Signs provide information or warnings about matters that are important to health and safety
  6. Where there is a risk of a particularly dangerous situation, the workplace is equipped with the necessary alarm system and first aid kit
  7. A sufficient number of functional fire extinguishers have been installed with routine service.

 

Environmental management

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics works with environmental production in Denmark and is working towards a future certification in accordance with ISO 14001. However, it does not mean that A/S Oilpower Hydraulics is not constantly aiming to target and systematically improve environmental efforts. A/S Oilpower Hydraulics environmental management system is monitored annually, considering our actual environmental efforts in relation to the authorities’ environmental management requirements.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics respects the environment and commits itself to both operating and being proactive in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Our suppliers are also expected to work so that the environment is protected and all applicable environmental laws and regulations are complied with in the countries in which they operate.

 

Establishment and operation

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics adheres to the guidelines from the environmental authorities and the regulations for water, air and soil protection, accident prevention and noise emissions. A/S Oilpower Hydraulics regularly assesses whether emissions to the environment can be reduced and aware of the need to comply with the requirements of the authorities inspecting the environmental conditions of A/S Oilpower Hydraulics.

 

Waste and recycling

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics ensures that waste, including waste that can be recycled, is sorted in accordance with the local environmental authorities’ provisions for recycling or disposal at authorized waste treatment plants, if available. Hazardous waste is labeled, stored and disposed of in accordance with local authority instructions on environmentally approved receiving stations.

Hazardous materials

Employees’ work on hazardous substances at work, including storage, use and handling, is carried out safely with minimized health risks. This means, among other things, that a comprehensive manual for use at the workplace has been prepared for each hazardous substance or material containing the necessary information (safety precautions, first aid, etc.).

At least, the goal must be to improve / raise the level as much as possible from the following:

  1. The manuals are updated and handed to the employees, and the employees have received effective training in using the manuals
  2. All relevant employees have been trained in the use of the substance or material
  3. Necessary first aid equipment is available and ready for use
  4. No children or adolescents under 18 years of age work with hazardous substances

Labor rights

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics undertakes to comply with all applicable laws and regulations for pay and working conditions. Our suppliers are also expected to comply with these laws and regulations.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not intentionally participate in or support the use of forced or involuntary work and does not accept that vendors use forced labor or involuntary work.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not deliberately participate in or supports the use of child labor, and our suppliers are expected to comply with local rules for child labor and employ only labor that meets the minimum age requirements in their area.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics supports diversity with equal opportunities and does not tolerate discrimination in the workplace. All suppliers are expected to comply with local legislation on discrimination in employment and employment.

Freedom to organize

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not discriminate nor otherwise take decisions that are influenced by an employee’s affiliation with a trade union or other association. A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not attempt to affect employees to become members of a particular trade union and does not interfere with which unions or other associations formed in the workplace. Employees are not dismissed due to their association with a trade union and the right to collective bargaining is respected.

Selected representatives of employees enjoy special protection in the performance of their duties.

Working time and rest time

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics seeks to ensure that at least local interests and regulations are observed in connection with working hours and rest periods, and expect our suppliers to comply with the same provisions. However, for shorter periods there may be deviations due to lack of staffing resources.

Salary and working conditions

All employees receive minimum wages in accordance with international standards and requirements. Prior to recruitment, all employees receive the relevant information and local requirements (laws and regulations).

Dining facilities and drinking water

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics ensures that all employees, local conditions taken into account, have access to dining facilities with the necessary hygienic conditions. In addition, access to drinking water at work.

Forced labor

Compulsion, threats or disciplinary methods are not taken to force people to work.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not participate in debt slavery or illegal trafficking of people with the aim of forcing people to work. We do not work with other companies that use forced labor or withhold identity papers or employee remuneration for the purpose of forcing employees to work.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics employees can leave the workplace free of charge without being detained.

Child labor

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics ensures that:

  1. All employees are over 13 years old.
  2. Employees between 13 and 15 years perform only light work.
  3. Employees between 13 and 15 years work max. Two hours per week. day.
  4. Parents of employees between 13 and 15 years are informed of the scope of work and the conditions, but will be able to address these at any time without problems for the employee.
  5. Employees under 18 years of age do not perform dangerous work or night work.
  6. All apprentices at A/S Oilpower Hydraulics are over 14 years of age and work as part of their education.

A/S Oilpower Hydraulics does not intentionally participate in or support the use of child labor and we expect our suppliers to comply with local child labor rules and employ only labor that meets the minimum age requirements in the area where the work is performed.

Discrimination

In A/S Oilpower Hydraulics, no discrimination is based on gender, race, color, religion, political opinion, sexual orientation, national or social origin, ethnicity, age or disability.

In A/S Oilpower Hydraulics no one is subjected to discrimination in connection with recruitment, dismissal, transfer, promotion, salary determination, setting of working conditions or competence development. All decisions regarding recruitment, promotion, redundancy, salary and other working conditions are based on relevant and objective criteria.

We support diversity and equal opportunities, so it is expected that local legislation on discrimination in employment and employment is also respected by our suppliers.

Anti-corruption

A / S Oilpower Hydraulics, our employees, suppliers, partners and other recipients of these rules must be committed to the highest integrity, fairness and fairness in all internal and external circumstances. No employee in A/S Oilpower Hydraulics shall neither directly nor indirectly accept, encourage or offer to pay bribery, return commission or the like, nor under pressure. This prohibition also applies to areas where such activities do not violate local laws.
